Celebrating the first anniversary of our flagship store.
There’s something about in-person shopping that the online experience can never replicate. For all the choice, convenience, and ease that’s part and parcel of online shopping, there’s a certain magic that is undeniably absent. That’s why we were so excited to open our first physical space on Mayfair’s storied Mount Street. We saw it as an opportunity to further expand and elaborate upon the Malone Souliers world in a way we’ve never done before. It’s hard to believe, but already a full year has passed, so to celebrate this milestone anniversary we look back on 12 months filled with memorable evenings, lively events, and inspiring collaborations.
The main advantage of having a flagship store is that it allows our customers to experience the quality of our products first hand. On top of this, we have a wonderful store team that live and breathe all things Malone Souliers, and who can offer their unparalleled taste and wisdom to everyone who walks through the door. But that’s not all our
Mount Street store is. Over the course of a year it has transformed into a gallery, an event space, a place to socialise and more. Let’s look back at some highlights from our first 12 months on Mount Street.
We’ll begin with our grand opening: all the way back in November 2021, our flagship opened its doors with a party hosted by artist and style icon Faye Wei Wei. Attended by an illustrious crowd of friends, influencers, and collaborators, the night was a perfect introduction to our new home.
Jumping ahead to March 2022, and we have the launch of our Bridgerton collection. A highly anticipated collaboration between ourselves and the hit Netflix show, the window of our Mount Street store became an elegant showcase of the capsule’s Regency-inspired styles. It’s at times like this when we are especially glad to have a physical space, because it allows us to present special collections in beautiful, immersive ways.
Moving into the summer months, and the store became a social hangout for the duration of July. As a way of pushing the space beyond its retail function, we collaborated with a nail artist and invited our customers inside for complementary manicures, as well as nail art inspired by our Spring / Summer collection. Transforming effortlessly from a retail space to a gallery, September saw us teaming with artist Charlotte Kidger, who has become well-known for her enthralling sculptures crafted from waste materials. We hosted a mini exhibition of Charlotte’s work, entitled Chromatism, and also commissioned her to create a special window display, all of which was enthusiastically received.
And rounding out our first year, in November 2022 we ran a very special made-to-order event with Penhaligon’s. Guests were invited to design a bespoke pair of Malone Souliers shoes, as well as attending a private scent profiling experience at the Penhaligon’s store on Regent Street. These personalised scents were then presented to attendees in special leather sleeves, deftly bringing together the personality of each brand.
It's been a vibrant, bustling year on Mount Street, and we can’t wait to begin another. We hope you can
visit us soon.
