There’s nothing quite like a change in seasons to inspire a wardrobe refresh. Of course, at Malone Souliers, we believe the easiest way to shift your style perspective is with a pair of new shoes. A slow but steady rise in temperature means we can finally start opting for ankle-baring silhouettes again – think strappy sandals, sleek mules, and feminine peep-toes – and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Our Spring / Summer ’23 Runway
collection promises to elevate your warm-weather repertoire and deliver on sartorial sunshine, whatever the occasion. And who better to style her favourite shoes from the collection than global influencer Hannah Strafford Taylor. Proving that a great pair of heels shouldn’t be reserved only for evening wear, Hannah’s approach to day-to-night dressing is the epitome of modern elegance.
Let’s take a closer look at three of this season’s most talked about footwear trends, and how to embrace them.
No fabric says summer more than raffia. And now, the woven material – traditionally derived from dried palm leaves – covers two of our standout silhouettes. Perla
is our oh-so-sophisticated mule, sitting atop an 85mm stiletto heel, this season presented in brown raffia. The unmistakeable Norah
is our eternally chic flat, reimagined in beige raffia. Hannah is seen in the Perla, teaming it with a black mini skirt and jacket for a typically polished ensemble. Both shoes will work just as well with bold floral dresses and even your favourite blue jeans. Their neutral colourways make them a truly timeless and versatile addition to your footwear rotation.
Take your look to new heights with a pair of standout platforms. The Keaton
is one of the season’s hero styles, sitting upon an impressive 125mm block heel. Crafted from black satin, it is decorated with a cascade of twinkling crystals. Styling-wise, Hannah has let these sandals take centre-stage, teaming them with a floaty black midi skirt. Daring to wear them for daytime, she proves that shoes really can make the outfit. We also love them with all manner of party dresses, as well as sharp tailoring for an unexpected take.
Now is the time for wallflowers to look away because pink is here to stay. From soft blush to full-on fuchsia, it’s safe to say that pink is the season’s most coveted colour.
Our signature Maureen mule receives the rose-tinted treatment, in crystal-studded PVC, complete with mirror leather trims. It is perhaps Maureen’s most showstopping transformation yet.
Meanwhile, debut silhouette Kenny
combines hot and pale pink for a striking, two-tone finish. Its wraparound ankle ties and goblet heel further a fun aesthetic. Perhaps the most daring way to wear the trend? With a complementary pink dress.
