For us, fashion is a vital means of self-expression, and it’s this thinking that inspired the narrative for AW22. Built around the idea that personal style is both transformative and empowering, we sought out the monochromatic avenues of Paris to capture our latest campaign. Rather than the glitzy side of St Germain and the Tuileries, we opted for the city’s brutalist side, allowing the unexpected colour of each pair of shoes and the style-confident attitude of model, McKenna Hellam, to illuminate the streets.
Making its spectacular debut this season, one such pair is the Yuri. A vision in hot pink satin, it’s a platform with serious show-stopping power, given its towering 125mm curved block heel. The chunkiness of the sole contrasts playfully with its feminine upper, heightening its overall effect, both literally and figuratively. If you’re looking to cut a swathe through your city streets, then this is the pair to do it in.
Diving deeper into our offer of autumn shoes, we have the Fion and the Kaya, both of which are also new this season. In keeping with the theme of the campaign, we wanted to communicate a certain boldness through opulent details. The Kaya is constructed from white nappa leather, punctuated with our signature sculpted heel in mirrored gold. The Fion, meanwhile, embellishes a vivid satin upper with a glimmering crystal feather motif. These shoes demand a second glance, making them just the thing for glitzy evenings where soft light seeks out reflective surfaces.
This is merely a taste of the latest women’s collection, and alongside that we have an impressive new offering of men’s shoes. For those dying days of summer, the Andre is a sophisticated take on the fisherman’s sandal that evokes strolls along the Côte d'Azur. And as we look ahead to the cooler weather, a pair of autumn boots are in order. The Dali is our interpretation of a suede desert boot, with a softly structured upper and leather sole. Perhaps its greatest virtue is its versatility: pair with anything from washed-out denim to modern tailoring, switching between the two with ease.
Like any means of self-expression, personal style is invigorating, clarifying, and good for the soul. And if style is a language to be understood, then we hope our AW22 collection communicates a joyful approach to getting dressed. A certain playfulness is always at the heart of what we do, and we want to invigorate those who view every day as an opportunity to share their style attitude and make a statement: sometimes subtle, sometimes oversized, always unexpected.
